Holy Week and Easter 2020
Join us virtually for worship this Holy Week and Easter Sunday. You can join our worship services on your web browser or on Facebook. Find links to both sources on our home page.
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday
We encourage you to download and use this simple liturgy with everyone in your house (whether that’s just you, a spouse, a gaggle of children, or a roomful of cats and lizards) to observe the holy time between Jesus’ last supper on Maundy Thursday and the victorious celebration of Easter.
Good Friday Tenebrae Worship
Friday, 7:30pm
In this service of tenebrae, Latin for “darkness,” you will hear the Passion story of Christ’s crucifixion and experience the gradual extinguishing of light. We depart the service in darkness to ponder the impact of Christ’s death and await the coming Resurrection.
Easter Sunrise Worship
Sunday, 7:00am
Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb - John 20:1 (NRSV)
Early on Sunday morning, we will welcome the break of day and celebrate Christ’s Resurrection and victory over death. If you can take a device outside to your porch, yard, etc, to join in this worship service, that’s even better.
Access the liturgy for this service here.
Easter Sunday Worship
Sunday, 11:00am
Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been raised. -Matthew 28:5-6 (NRSV)
Join us in worship to celebrate Christ’s victorious Resurrection.
